The Global Workplace Architect at our department Global Infrastructure Services (GIS) is responsible for the overall Global Workplace architecture supporting our 100% cloud approach for our more than 60k digital workplaces and connected devices around the world.

- Responsible for the maintenance of the baseline and target architecture for our Global Workplace services
- Analysis of current and development of a future architecture for the Global Workplace services based on strategic imperatives and in close alignment with the overall Infrastructure Architect
- Responsible for development of standard infrastructure architectures for Global Workplace services and development of implementation plans (architecture roadmap for Global Workplace services - Evergreen Approach)
- Develop, evaluate, and improve a global modern workplace backoffice architecture design based on Microsoft 365 cloud services to achieve best-in-class quality of core capabilities in performance, reliability, safety, and privacy out of the cloud
- Supports the global 100% cloud workplace consolidation & standardization process
- Development of backoffice principles and standards for the workplace of the future with a strong alignment with the Global Office 365 Architecture Team
- The area of Global Workplace architecture covers the end-user-computing hardware (Windows & MacOS based), print management, client-side operating systems, standard software, cloud-based workplace management (Intune, Analytics, update/patch management), mobile devices (smartphones & tablets) and Warehouse-End-User Equipment like scanner, barcode printer and their Device Management
- Working in a strong alignment with the Global Security Architecture Team regarding Workplace security policies
- Technical coaching of members from the different service delivery teams
- Audits of technical implementations and operations from different service delivery teams
- Study to university degree level
- Profound knowledge in Microsoft 365 Cloud Services, especially Intune, ATP, WVD and Azure AD
- Profound knowledge in MacOS Device Management
- Profound knowledge in Software Packaging and Distribution
- Profound knowledge in Output Management and Cloud Print Services
- Profound knowledge in Warehouse-End-User Equipment like scanner, barcode printer and their Device Management
- Profound knowledge in Mobile Device Management
- Proficiency in automation and scripting of deployment
- Certification in Microsoft Cloud Services
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Willingness to travel (internationally)
- The ability to work collaboratively across diverse groups of business and technical stakeholder
- Strong leadership skills, intercultural competence, global mindset, strong communication skills, solution orientation, willingness to learn and flexibility
