We are looking for experienced and ambitious PSV Engineers to join Arriva, based at our Wakefield Depot.
Join a great, highly-skilled team working in a well-equipped bus depot with up to date diagnostics equipment, maintaining over 108 buses and coaches, along with 47 fully EV buses coming in 2024! Our Wakefield Depot operates 2 working stations, a bodyshop, and houses generous tooling and specialist equipment.
As a PSV Engineer, your role would involve carrying out planned and preventative maintenance along with diagnostic fault finding and reactive repairs to a fleet of commercially operated buses, to the strict standards set by both Arriva, and the DVSA (Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency).

Odgovornosti
The role will involve:
- Servicing, maintenance and repairs to Arriva and DVSA standards
- Continuous improvement of vehicle reliability
- MOT preparation, planned preventative maintenance campaigns and quality checks
- Vehicle fault diagnosis and ensuring reliability and maintenance is kept to Arriva Standards (Higher than DVSA)
- Attending roadside breakdowns
- Working 5 days over 7 on a rotational shift pattern (Earlies - 06:00-14:00, Lates 14:00-22:00), or Nights (22:00-06:00)
Kvalifikacije
Requirements:
- Qualifications for PSV/HGV maintenance and repair - Minimum of NVQ level 2 or any equivalent international qualification (will require confirmation)
- Qualifications for car and light vehicles will be considered - Minimum of NVQ level 3 or any equivalent international qualification (will require confirmation)
- If you are not qualified, applications may be considered from candidates with at least 5 years’ experience in repair and maintenance of PSV/HGV
- A full UK driving licence (6 points or less)
- Ability to be passed fit for a PCV pre-employment medical
