Our Information Management (IM) team within the Global Cross Functional & Business Intelligence (GFBI) department is responsible for providing globally standardized, reliable and scalable IT services for Business Intelligence, Data Warehouse, Big Data and Customer Tracking & Tracing solutions, which are based on global operational systems, Finance SAP systems and many other data sources. In close collaboration with other teams in the worldwide Schenker organization these IT services are designed and implemented.
If you have multi-year experience in BI, DWH and Big Data architectures, worked as Data Engineer with Azure Services, know from experience how to best design batch and streaming solutions based on current technologies and you like to drive with us projects and innovations to turn DB Schenker into a data-driven company, we are looking forward to receive your application.
Your tasks:
- Gather requirements and define suitable BI and Big DataLakeHouse solution strategies
- Define and establish BI, DWH and DataLakeHouse architectures, long-term proven and pragmatic
- Contribute to and technically lead the implementation and testing of BI and Big Data solutions
- Define and evolve guidelines, frameworks and processes for the platforms
- Ensure complete and comprehensive documentation of the platform and solutions
- Consider IT Security and Data Protection requirements by design, collaborating with these teams
- Ensure an efficient service setup, a smooth operation & support and drive continuous improvement
- Contribute to reviewing new technologies and driving architecture innovations
- Creating reusable templates, best practice and guidelines to ensure consistent implementations
- Manage and coach developers in remote teams and ensure with them high quality implementations
- Take responsibility for planning, documenting and successful implementation of these solutions, including SLA, cost and supplier management
- Prepare project and investment requests, as well as contribute to supplier call for proposals
- Manage complex stakeholder structures and ensure a good relationship between teams
Квалификације
Your profile:
- Graduate qualification in computer science, information systems or proven experiences
- Multi-year practical experience with architecting and building BI, DWH and Big Data solutions in the cloud, including requirements gathering, architecture definition and hands-on implementation
- Advanced Big Data and BI architecture, frameworks and governance experience
- Cloud architecture experience, in particular with Azure and AWS
- Extensive know-how and experience with cloud native services and tools
- Know-how with classical BI tools like Informatica PowerCenter, Oracle DB, SAP BusinessObjects, Power BI as well as state-of-the-art ones like Snowflake, Kafka, Streaming, CDC, etc
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IoC), preferred Terraform
- Project or service management knowledge and experience
- Experience with working in international and remote teams
- Practitioner of both, agile and waterfall, project management methods and tools
- Analytical thinking, result-oriented and innovative attitude
- Strong presentation, moderation, communication and coaching skills with intercultural competence
- Fluent English (spoken and written)
- Logistics know-how would be good
